F.A.Q.

Where do you live?

This is a rather complicated question as at the moment I am all over the place! I am originally from a small town near Birmingham called Stourbridge which nobody has ever really heard of. I am a student at Leeds University but I am currently taking part in an internship in London. I'm staying here till September until I eventually move back to Leeds to complete my degree.

What do you study?

I am studying Fashion Design which is a course I have always had my heart set on since an early age. I'm not a great practical sewer but I've always been quite creative and have a great interest in fashion. I'm not sure what direction of my career path I am going to take after I finish my degree but it will definitely be fashion related! I have always wanted to be part of the Topshop design team so hopefully I will achieve this one day.

Who designed your blog?

I am not blessed in the technical areas of blogging, I always struggle with HTML coding and all that malarkey! I actually customised a template so my blog is pretty basic in terms of layout, but I think it's better to keep things simple so readers find it easier to navigate my site.

What is your current job?

I am currently working for a website - Styloko.com which is a personal shopping website combined with a fashion blog. I have worked here as an intern since January and previously worked at Draper's magazine as a fashion intern and French Connection as a design intern. I'm taking time at the moment to work with companies in various areas of fashion so I have a broader idea of what I want to do as a future career.

How tall are you and how much do you weigh?

I'm a real short arse at about 5"3, I wasn't blessed in the nice long thin legs area to say the least! I actually quite like being small as I can fit into most clothes easily and no girl wants to be taller than their boyfriend! In terms of weight, I'm usually a size 10 in most high street clothing brands. My shape is very 'hourglass' so I have a really small waist but a larger than life sized bottom! It's not that bad...but it is fairly out of proportion with the rest of my body.

What are your favourite clothing brands?

I'd say my all time favourite clothing brand is probably Zara. I love the simplicity of their clothing, they always use a good quality fabric and the style tends to be slighter smarter and sophisticated without being 'old' than other high street stores. I tend to purchase clothes from a variety of brands and these mostly include: H&M, Topshop, Reiss, American Apparel, Missguided, Asos and sometimes River Island.
