Kylie

The weather has been ridiculously muggy lately so on Friday I actually went to work wearing shorts, never thought that would happen! I'm not usually a fan of shorts but these Topshop high-waisted crochet shorts are the perfect addition to my Summer wardrobe. They're great for adding texture and detail to an outfit as well as giving off a very festival style vibe. I've worn it with my favourite Asos modal vest which is always a staple item within my wardrobe. I love the high neck shape and the nude skin tone shade makes it easy to wear with pretty much anything. I've also channeled the Kylie Jenner look through adding this maxi length cardigan on top. I'm absolutely loving her style at the moment and need some more maxi cardigans/ jackets in my life!

So, I didn't realise that all of my blog post photos are actually uploading pixelated?! My new Macbook Pro makes all my photos look pixelated because the screen is such high quality but I didn't think my photos actually were! Anyway, I've been using a different format to upload them this time so hopefully they look slightly better? If you could let me know that would be great!

A few weeks ago I purchased this Missguided Lile Tropical peplum cami top which has apparently sold out now so I'm really sorry if you can't get hold of it anymore! I absolutely love the print of this top, it really reminds me of the Topshop Aloha jeans which I tried to get hold of but they also sold out too. I wouldn't usually wear something so pretty and girly but this top is perfect for Summer and really suitable for the warmer weather. I've worn it with my favourite Asos cropped trousers which I practically live in. I even bought a second pair just in case they sold out any time soon!

I bought this River Island wooden heels last weekend after trying to hunt them down for the past month or so. I was looking for some Summer heels which could be worn during the day/ evening and also on holiday so wasn't looking for a majorly high heel. These fit the bill perfectly but unfortunately they have rubbed the top of my feet so bad! I've lost the receipt so can't return them but they may be uploaded onto my Depop within a few weeks time once I'm back home from Manchester.

Extreme Racer

kimono: topshop (old)

shoes: river island

I've definitely got back into the swing of blogging since settling down into more of a routine with work. Everything has been really up in the air since finishing university and moving out of Leeds so it's nice to be back into a routine again and able to continue with my blogging. I'm also trying to get a new website style done at the moment so keep your eyes peeled for an update!

Yesterday I picked out this realllyyyy old Topshop kimono which I've probably had for around 4 years. I've never had the heart to chuck it out as I love the print and lightweight fabric so much. It's perfect for throwing over your shoulders on a cool Summer's day and brightens up a plain outfit. I'm also wearing my new Miss Selfridge cami top which I'm absolutely obsessed with at the moment. I've also bought it in black as I love the extreme racer front style and the tight fit works well when tucked into skinny jeans or a pair of shorts.

I recently went into Mac to hunt down the perfect 'Kylie Jenner darker than lip colour' lipstick after many weeks of deliberating. Mac isn't always my go-to lipstick brand but they do tend to provide the widest range when looking for a particular colour. The sales assistant was ridiculously unhelpful so I ended up picking out 'Twig' which is a matte lipstick with a darker than natural lip tone. It's actually slightly darker than the colour I was trying to find but it's one step in the right direction!

Luxe Casual

blouse: topshop
jeans: topshop
boots: topshop
handbag: givenchy
necklace: asos
bracelet: asos
ring: marc by marc jacobs
watch: michael kors
nails: orly 'ablaze'
lips: mac 'shanghai spice'

My new job doesn't have a specific dress code but I always like to go for the 'luxe casual' look which I'd describe as smart casual with a stylish twist. I think this Topshop draped blouse is the perfect example of a casual blouse which is suitable for work but can also be dressed down with jeans and flats. I've paired it with my favourite Topshop Joni white jeans which have a slightly cropped length and frayed ankles. I've always been a huge fan of the way Joni jeans fit and they are definitely feeding my white jeans obsession at the moment! I'm also wearing my new Topshop nude ankle boots which I've had in my wardrobe for about a month now and completely forgot about them! I'm a strong nude lover and these ankle boots are the perfect Summer addition.

So, I've finally got myself sorted with my job in Manchester as a designer/ buyer for online fashion retailer Own The Runway! It's been a really quick turn around with finishing university and then moving to a new city but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. It's been too soon to find an apartment so I'm currently staying in an aparthotel called Dreamhouse in Manchester City Centre, officially living the Gossip Girl lifestyle!

I visited my lovely boyfriend in Scarborough over the weekend and the weather was baking so I finally had the chance to pull out my new H&M jewelled sandals. I managed to hunt down these in the Oxford Circus store but I'm pretty sure they sold out everywhere else very quickly. I love these sandals sooo much but they absolutely shred my feet to pieces :(! I'm going to try using bandages/ plasters on the inside of the straps to stop them from rubbing, that's how much I love them! I'm also wearing my fairly new Topshop Jamie jeans which I featured in my last post. I've genuinely been wearing these jeans pretty much everyday ever since I got them. Not only are they the perfect high-waisted fit, they go with absolutely everything and also add a casual twist to an outfit. Lastly, I'm also wearing my favourite Primark mirrored sunglasses which were the best bargain of the year at £2. I'm tempted to go back and buy another pair just in case they discontinue soon!
