Although the weather is still drastically cold and wet, I've been really drawn towards pastel shades at the moment in preparation for Spring. One of my all time favourite pastel shades in this bluey tone of lilac which was a big feature within the latest Whistles collection shown last week. I think this shade flatters every skin tone and looks so great when worn against grey or cream garments. I bought this layered t-shirt the minute I saw it on Asos without any hesitation and I absolutely love it. The light chiffon fabric makes it look really smart but the jersey binding around the arms and neckline add a casual sportswear contrast. I'm also wearing my new River Island Lana jeans which I bought over the weekend after becoming obsessed with light cream/ white jeans at the moment. They're not actually a jean, I'd say they are more of a thick trouser fabric but they're really great at sucking you in and flattering the legs.

I've dug out my old Topshop boots today as I realised basically all my posts throughout the past few months have featured my trusty Zara boots which are getting a bit tatty now. I used to wear these religiously but the clips kept popping open which really annoyed me! I'm in desperate need of a new pair of leather ankle boots which aren't black as I think when worn with light trousers these can cut off the legs and make you appear shorter which I definitely don't need! I've spotted a few lovely pairs in Zara lately so best get saving...

Jewelled Arms

jumper: zara
jeans: asos

How amaaaaazing is this jumper?! I had a little Zara splurge last week and spotted this beauty amongst the rails. I'm not usually one for massively jewelled items but something about this jumper really drew me towards it. I love the stretchy nude fabric which gives the jumper a sort of sports appeal, combined with the sparkly jewels which are almost rose gold in colour. I can't find it online so not sure if they have it in stock anymore but I'm sure it will come back in store sometime soon. I've worn it with my Asos bleached jeans which are really easy to wear as they're lightweight and really stretchy. I'm also wearing my trusty River Island neoprene boots which I bought during the sale a few weeks ago. They're great for giving off a different effect to my usual black boots and can be dressed up or dressed down.

Unfortunately I have no hands/ nails shots this time as I removed the nails featured in my previous post. As much as I loved the nude half moon design, they really didn't stick to my nail very well so I kept getting them caught which was really annoying! I'm planning to redo my nails tonight as I'm being incredibly spoilt by my lovely boyfriend this weekend and being whisked off to Paris! I've never been before so does anybody have some good advice/ places to visit whilst I'm there?

Half Moon

The weather's been particularly awful recently so thought I'd brighten things up with some hot pink and bright floral trousers! I bought both of these items during the Summer so they're not available anymore but I'm sure some good dupes could be found online or maybe second-hand on Ebay. I have this jumper in 3 different colours and wear them religiously because they're so lightweight and easy to wear during any season. My favourite is probably the neon yellow shade but the bright pink is great for matching with some statement trousers like these. I'm also wearing my new River Island heels which I purchased a few weeks ago when they did a 20% discount code for a few days. I think they came to about £40 which isn't bad for a good pair of heels. I think these are really versatile and could be worn with some casual jeans or a light Summer dress during the warmer weather.

I also got round to changing my nails today and used these false nails by Express at Boots. I love pastel/ light colour nails at the moment so these nude and cream half moon nails are right up my street. I've stuck them on using nail glue but they do have gel glue patches already attached to the false nail so you don't have to mess around with glue. Personally, I think a nail glue makes them stay on for longer but you could give it a go!

Dream Coat

necklace: warehouse via asos

I mentioned that it was my birthday last week and I was treated to a lovely shopping weekend in London. There wasn't really anything I wanted for my birthday so I ended up with some spending money and purchased this amazing Jovonnista coat which is a concession within Topshop Oxford Street. I was actually looking for a much heavier Winter coat but couldn't resist this beauty. It's more of a lightweight jacket but it's so perfect for evenings or shopping trips when the weather warms up a little.  It's a sort of Mac shape but the draped fabric gives it a much softer and feminine appeal. I'm not sure if it's online and this was the last one in Topshop but maybe visit the Jovonnista website to double check if you're interested.

I'm also wearing my new Warehouse statement necklace which I purchased a few days ago via Asos. I'm back on my lime green fanatic hype so this had to be mine as soon as I saw it! I really like how it adds a pop of colour to my outfit against the grey marl and nude tones. It's the perfect necklace to brighten up any outfit and I can imagine it looking great with a dress during the evening.

Lastly, I've avoided dark lips lately due to suffering from really dry lips from the awful weather but today I bit the bullet and wore 'Paramount' by Mac. Paramount is a very dark brown/ red shade which is very bold on the lip as it's part of the amplified collection. It's not a colour for the faint hearted but it's the perfect dark shade if you've been on the hunt for a good Winter lipstick. What's your favourite lipstick at the moment?

Peachy Keen

The weather is soooo dull at the moment so thought I'd brighten things up a little with my white Zara jacket which I purchased around this time last year. I love pretty much anything and everything white at the moment so couldn't resist pulling this old beauty out of my wardrobe. Obviously, the problem with white garments are they do tend to get dirty very easily. Since living in London last year this jacket was covered in marks but nothing a little bit of dry-cleaning can't fix! I'm also wearing my new Zara top which features a sheer panel down the front and across the shoulders. It's more of a Spring/ Summer top as it's quite lightweight but I've worn a nude crop underneath to cover up a bit more.

I've been on the hunt for some new nail polishes recently and thought I'd try some Sally Hansen colours as I've never picked any up before. I've tried this 'Peachy Keen' shade which is a very light peachy/ cream colour, perfect for any skin tone and really stands out on the nail. I applied 2-3 coats to give a fully opaque finish and then applied an Essie topcoat to give a nice glossy finish. I've picked up a few more Sally Hansen shades so I'll be sure to feature them over the next few weeks. What is your favourite brand for nail polish at the moment?

Winter Lime

scarf: river topshop

handbag: givenchy
necklace: asos
bracelet: asos

So I'm officially 22 after celebrating my birthday yesterday and being spoilt rotten by my nearest and dearest! Unfortunately I had to spend my day at uni and doing work so my outfit isn't anything too exciting. I purchased this amazing Topshop leopard print scarf a couple of weeks ago and I haven't taken it off since. I love the combination of the neon lime against the neutral beige, probably two of my all time favourite colours. I'm also wearing my new River Island beige fedora which I'd been trying to hunt down for a while. I always wear my Topshop black fedora so I think this will be a great alternative especially when the weather decides to brighten up a bit.

I've been on the hunt for a nude lipstick over the past few months that isn't Mac as I already own way too many and felt the need to try some other brands. I ended up picking this Hourglass Femme Nude lipstick in the shade 'No.2' which is a honey beige shade. I find it to be a great neutral shade for during the day, it's really easy to apply and has a nice glossy finish which helps to stop my lips from drying out. I think the Femme Nude collection features 6 shades so you can pick a nude which suits the colour of your skin tone. Have you found any good nude lipsticks from other brands recently?
