As I was planning my blog posts for the next few days, I completely forgot about my August favourites last month! I think I was on holiday at the time so that's a good enough excuse. This month I've found some really great products that I'd love to share with you. I don't buy that many beauty products as I tend to stick to my favourites but now and then I'll pick something up to try. I think I always choose clothes over beauty products so that probably explains why my wardrobe is currently bursting at the seams! As the new season approaches, I'll definitely be buying some new products to keep my hair tame in the Winter weather and some darker tones of lipsticks.
Pantene Expert Advanced Keratin Repair Condition & Uniq One Coconut All In One Hair Treatment
Pantene Expert Advanced Keratin Repair Conditioner: I've invested in a few new hair products lately as I had some new extensions fitted last week so I want to keep them feeling soft for as long as possible! First up we have this new condition from the Pantene Pro-V Expert range which includes advanced keratin repair. This aims to keep your locks strong with a protective layer to help restore it's healthy looking surface. I've been using this for the past couple of weeks now and I can definitely feel a difference within the softness of my hair. I also think my hair looks slightly shinier and just feels a lot more healthy in general.
Uniq One Coconut All In One Hair Treatment: I also purchased this Uniq One hair treatment from my local salon so I'm not sure where else you can buy this from. My hairdresser recommended this to me as it's amazing at detangling hair and leaving it feeling smooth. I spray this all over my towel dried hair and it makes brushing through my extensions so much easier. It aims to do a million things from repairing damaged hair to split ends prevention so it really is an all in one product that is great for all different types of hair.
Rimmel Instant Tan Remover & L'Oreal Skin Perfection BB Cream 5 In 1
Rimmel Instant Tan Remover: Now the Summer sunshine is long gone, I've resorted back to my many bottles of fake tan! I hate leaving my tan on when it starts going patchy so a friend recommended this tan remover by Rimmel. I use this in the shower with a large scrubbing brush and it's amazing at removing any unwanted patches. I used to use Epsom salts to remove my tan but I find this much easier as it's in a bottle and doesn't take as much scrubbing.
L'Oreal Skin Perfection BB Cream 5 In 1: I bought this product on a complete whim a few weeks ago whilst searching for a new primer. I decided that a BB cream may actually be a good investment as I don't already own one. I came across this L'Oreal BB Cream in Boots and was really impressed when I tried it on the back of my hand. After using it for the past few days, I've decided it does actually give quite good coverage without looking too cakey. I do prefer a thicker coverage from foundation but this is great for days when I'm just running errands and don't need a full face of make-up. I also think it gives my skin a really healthy glow and is great at hiding blemishes or red patches.
Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Intensity One & Bobbi Brown Luminous Moisturising Foundation
Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Intensity One: I have no idea why I've never used this product before, it's amazing! After watching a Youtube video by Belle's Boutique, I realised this product had been sitting in my bathroom for the past 6 months. I've now been using it as a contour and highlighter for the past week and will never go back! I apply the contour cream to my cheekbones, forehead and nose and use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to blend. I then apply the highlighter to my cheekbones, centre of my nose, forehead and chin and this really brings the skin alive creating a healthy glow. I still apply my powder blusher but this creates a strong base to build on. I know Tom Ford products can be ridiculously expensive but this really is worth the hefty price tag!
Bobbi Brown Luminous Moisturising Foundation: After testing this in Selfridge's, it took me about 30 seconds to decide to purchase it! I've been using this as my every day foundation lately and it's slowly becoming my all-time favourite. I usually use the YSL Teint Eclat foundation but I find this gives my skin more of a dewy look. I bought the shade 'Honey' which is actually quite dark, I think next time I will buy the shade lighter as I prefer a pale base to build upon. I think this foundation was £32 which is quite expensive but I think a quality foundation is really important for your skin.
Topshop 'Peach Sundae' Lipstick
Topshop 'Peach Sundae' Lipstick: I constantly rave about the Topshop lipsticks, they never let me down and always come out with such lovely shades. I purchased 'Peach Sundae' 3 weeks ago and I've used it pretty much every day without fail. 'Peach Sundae' is the perfect peach shade with a creamy texture that doesn't dry out my lips. I always go for peachy/ pinky tones but I find this is slightly darker than my usual peach lipstick which is more suitable for the Winter season. So if you're in a Topshop store anytime soon, I strongly recommend swatching this bad boy!
