Yesterday I had a dozen lectures to attend and so many things on my mind so didn't get a chance to post this outfit. I mentioned before that I'm stuck in a bit of a monochrome rut lately where all I want to wear is black/white/cream shades. I think this is a rebellion against all the bright neon clothing I've been wearing over the past Summer months. It's actually quite nice to wear more neutral clothing, especially with all the bad weather lately, gloomy!
I bought this Forever 21 monochrome print top a few years ago and it's remained a staple item in my wardrobe ever since. In fact, I've probably featured this top on here a million times but it's so versatile and can be dressed in many different ways. I've worn it with my Zara faux leather trousers which I picked up in the sale a few months ago. This is the first time I've worn them as I wasn't sure if they would suit me or look flattering. You can't tell in the photographs, but they actually feature quilting and panels across the legs which makes them more flattering as it's not just smooth leather all over.
I also received this lovely bracelet from Ziba which is an amazing jewellery/ accessories company. You can't see it too well in my photographs but I'll post a close up on my Instagram (@lydiafayejones) and a future 'Today I Bought' post. I love the intricate detailing of their designs, the products are very unique and different from your typical high street retailers. Some of the statement necklaces are incredible so if you fancy taking a look you can visit their website here.
I'm stuck in my white nail obsession again and these falsies have been on for way too long! If I manage to get all my work done tonight, I plan to apply a lovely fresh set and choose a new shade. When I carted all my belonging up to Leeds I realised just how many hundreds on polishes I own so I'll definitely be raiding my box tonight and pulling out some old favourites.
