I haven't done one of these posts for a while so thought I'd update you on a few things I've been purchasing over the past few weeks. I'm attending a Summer themed 21st tonight and I've been struggling to find a dress so much! I've settled with this Miss Selfridge grey midi dress which I thought would be nice with some statement jewellery and a bright lip. I'm not one for long dresses as I'm quite short so this is a new venture for me!

I've been buying lots of casual tops lately as when I was interning I mainly bought smart blouses or knitwear. I bought this American Apparel neon baseball top and these two Primark t-shirts to stock up my wardrobe a bit. I really love the sporty style of these tops, they are really easy to wear with jeans or leggings and fit in with the sports luxe trend for this season. I also bought this Topshop zig zag playsuit which really reminds me of the classic Missoni knitted pattern. I was drawn to the colours immediately and can't wait to wear this on my upcoming holiday. The Next knitted vest was a random purchase as I was refunding some things for my mom as I never usually go in there. The mixture of the white/ beige yarns creates a sort of 'worn' and distressed look and would look great on the beach over a bikini with some statement jewellery.

I featured this River Island split back jumper in coral in a recent outfit post and couldn't resist going back to pick up the white version. I've had so many compliments on this jumper and already worn it so many times. The knitted fabric is also really lightweight which makes it perfect for warmer weather like at the moment. I also picked up this River Island crop top to pair with a maxi skirt or pencil skirt during the evenings. I find the sizing for this really strange as usually River Island sizes are slightly larger than usual but this was quite tight for a size 10.

When I saw these confectionary bodies on the Missguided site, I couldn't help but buy this donut one! It's so cute and would look great on holiday worn with some high-waisted denim shorts or maxi skirt. The fabric is water-proof so I reckon it could actually be worn as a swimsuit but I wouldn't risk the tan lines! I've been on a bit of a skirt haul this week as I seem to be going out quite a lot now I'm home for the Summer. I wore this Topshop curved hem mini skirt last week with an American Apparel knitted crop top and really loved the look. I also can't wait to wear this River island tropical print pencil skirt which I also bought the matching crop top for. I love the bold colours used within the print, they are perfect for the Summer and it only needs a simple crop top or body to create a look. The H&M curved hem skirt was a very recent buy so I haven't had the chance to wear it yet. I bought this as a basic item to wear during the day with loose fitting tops or vest. The Missguided fishnet skirt is more of an evening skirt to be dressed up with heels and jewellery. White is never a wise colour for me to wear on a night out so I'll have to be careful with this one.

Last up, I bought this River Island neon cosmetics case last week after searching for a smaller case to fit in my handbag during the day. I love anything and everything neon at the moment so this one passed the test immediately! I mentioned how I'd purchased some of the lipsticks from the Mac 'All About Orange' collection and I have to say these are possibly my favourite Mac lipsticks already! 'Tart & Trendy' is a fairly bold orange lipsticks so I tend to wear this on nights out to stand out on the lip. 'Sweet & Sour' is a great creamy peach shade with lustre for during the day, it's really good at preventing my lips from drying out and adding a touch of colour. My absolute favourite is 'Sushi Kiss' which is a bright creamy coral shade, perfect for both during the day and evenings. I find this lipstick stays on all night and doesn't need to be re-applied every 10 minutes. I think they have sold out pretty much everywhere now so if you didn't get hold of any I'd try eBay to snap them up!
