I was really surprised when I stepped outside the morning and it was really hot and muggy. I hate English weather at this time of year when there's no sunshine and it just feels really gross and sticky! I couldn't face wearing jeans or leggings so thought I'd try out my Zara neon shorts which I bought whilst I was away in Marbella last month. Zara prices in Spain tend to be a fair bit lower than over here so I usually take full advantage when I'm over there. I think these were priced at 15 euros rather than £15.99 which makes quite a difference. I love the hot pink shade of these shorts, they really stand out and are perfect for the holiday season. I've paired them with this Zara polka dot cropped jumper which I bought a while back so not sure if they still have them in stock. I wear this all the time with high-waisted jeans and maxi skirts so it's nice to try it out with shorts for a change.
I completely forgot about my & Other Stories perspex brogues as most of my stuff got stored away when I moved back from London. These were quite difficult to wear in the Winter as they need to be worn with socks to avoid blisters but socks didn't look right with jeans. I've been waiting for the days when I can wear them with cute frilly socks and shorts/ skirts. I've also got round to re-doing my nails with this metallic/ iridescent shade by Kleancolor. I bought a few of these polishes off eBay and wasn't too impressed with them to be honest! This is the only shade I've liked as it gives a good colour coverage after 2 coats and has a unique bronze/ golden shine. This hasn't photographed very well due to the lighting but I've uploaded a better photo on my Instagram. For those of you who don't already follow me, my username is @lydiafayejones.
I've heard GFC are closing down rather soon so Bloglovin' is probably the best way to keep up to date with my blog if you are already a member. I've always relied on GFC to read my favourite blogs so it's a bit annoying that it's closing down! It would be great if you could follow my blog via Bloglovin, I've included the link so it's easier to find - follow me here!
