I haven't done one of my recent purchases posts in a while so thought I'd keep you all up to date with some new goodies that I've been buying over the past few weeks. I'm preparing my wardrobe with some pastel shades for Spring, and because the weather is so chilly I picked up some pastel knitwear from Topshop. I'm not usually a fan of cropped knitwear as I never really knew how to style it, but I couldn't resist this baby pink jumper and mint green vest. I love the shades of both and think they will look perfect worn with my high-waisted Joni jeans or a printed skater skirt. I can't wait to experiment!
I saw this River Island sheer maxi skirt on the website and had read some reviews about how the sizing was quite large. I tried to buy it from every store along Oxford Street but nowhere had it in stock so I bit the bullet and bought it online which I rarely do. I am usually a size 10 on bottom but ordered a size 8 as I have had past experience with River Island sizing being too big. Luckily, this was the perfect fit although the tight pencil shape makes it quite limiting to walk in! I plan to wear this with an oversized knit and some chunky ankle boots until it gets a little warmer.
I've been dabbling in some high street make-up lately as I've read so many raving reviews about brands such as Sleek and MUA. I picked up Sleek's contour palette which I have been using everyday since I purchased it. I love the darker shade for creating a contoured cheek and the highlighter gives a lovely glow along my cheeks and brows. To apply this I have been using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and the Contour Brush. I also picked up this MUA neutral shade eyeshadow palette which is perfect for creating both day and evening looks. I have mostly been using the copper and gold shades across the lid as these give a lovely shine and last all day without creasing.
Lastly, I picked up some new hair products from Boots as they are currently offering a great 3 for 2 offer across many haircare brands such as Tresemme, John Frieda, Aussie and more! I decided on the Tresemme Platinum Strength conditioning treatment which I've heard is great for adding softness and shine so I hope it lives up to my expectations. I also picked up the Definition Spray to add some texture to my hair when I roll it and the Elnett Volume heat protecting spray to give me some extra volume and protection. I may post some reviews of these products some time soon if they prove worthy!
Just a reminder that my lovely Ebay dresses have only 4 hours left for bidding so if you haven't already taken a look, you can view my listings here and get bidding! All of my dresses are brand new so have never been worn and there are so definite beauties amongst them.
