Just a quick post to show of the couple of the outfits I wore whilst I was in Marrakech. It was such a nice feeling to finally be able to step out with bare legs and not think you've caught pneumonia! The first night we were treated to a meal at this incredible Morrocan restaurant where we celebrated my friend's birthday and carried on to a bar afterwards. I wore this charcoal All Saints dress with embellishment around the low armholes which my friend bought me for my birthday last week. I love the low armhole style during the Summer and the silver embellishment really makes that stand out. I kept it quite simple with these stroppy Zara heels and plain black Prada clutch.
During the second night we were taken on a tour around the city walls of Marrakech and ended up in this famous square drinking fresh green tea which we were slightly over-dressed for! We then went in horse and carriage to a private palace where we were greeted by flame throwers, a live band and men on horses, it was so surreal! The venue was amazing and there were all sorts of entertainments such as snake charmers, henna tattooists and belly dancers. I decided to wear this gorgeous sequin dress by French Connection which I purchased a while ago and hadn't had the chance to wear yet. I love the coral sequin embellishments against the nude fabric of the dress and the waist belt helps to give the dress shape which many sequin dresses lack.
I'm now back at home and suffering from a severe case of post-Marrakech blues! I can't believe how consistently wet and cold a country can be. I'm back at work on Monday which has come around far too quickly. I hate how everything you look forward to seems to be over in a flash. I hope everybody has had a lovely weekend...back to reality now!
