I have to apologise for being quite absent over the past week, I've had really bad flu (sympathy please!) and haven't left the house so my blog has taken a back seat for the time being. I thought I'd keep you up to date with some of my most recent purchases over the Christmas holidays. I've had a lot of spare time so unfortunately my bank balance has suffered a horrendous amount! I scouted through the online sales during Christmas Day and found a few knitwear pieces and an animal print blouse on Topshop. I'd seen all of these pieces in store before so jumped at the chance when I saw them nearly half price. I'm a big fan of oversized blouses at the moment so this will definitely be worn very soon with my disco pants and a coloured lip.
I also picked up a few vests and tops which I can wear during the day or night. I'm not a big Galaxy print fan but I like the neutral colours used in this, it isn't so bright blue and starry like many others. I also really like this oversized sheer strip vest I picked up in the River Island sale. They only had a size 18 left but it actually looks really nice on and could be worn as a dress for a night out with some sort of slip underneath.
This season I'm leaning towards bright pops of colours so these suede fuchsia boots will do the trick. I saw them in the Zara sale online but they sold out before I could buy them so I purchased them via eBay which isn't ideal but I was desperate! I can't wait to wear these bad boys and pair them up with leather skinnies and a large tote bag. The tote bag I have pictured in this post was bought for me by my lovely boyfriend, he did very well this year! It's a sort of light grey/ cream shade and has a very square shape which I really like for during the day.
Lastly, I went into The Body Shop to pick up this Honey and Oat mask which I keep hearing such great reviews about. They had a 3 for 2 offer on all skincare and make-up so I ended up giving up and bought this beautiful bronzer and rosy pink blusher. I have the face mask on as we speak and I can confirm it smells absolutely divine! I'm not too sure of the outcome yet as I haven't washed it off but I'll be sure to include the results in a post some time soon.
