I'm blaming this awful rain for my over spending today! I popped up to Merry Hill to buy some dinner and a couple of Christmas DVDs for tonight and ended up coming back with this lot, god knows how. I've heard a lot of good things about Sleek make-up and I'm in need of a new eyeshadow palette which contains a dark brown shade which I can use on my eyebrows as my Bobbi Brown one has run out. I only ever wear neutral/ brown/ gold shades on my eyes as my eyes are so dark so this was right up my street and a bargain for £7.99. I was also drawn to this 'Barely There' lipstick which is a soft nude shade with a hint of peach. I really like the black matte container and the texture seems creamy and easy to apply which makes the perfect day lipstick.
There's been so much hype about La Roche-Posay products lately that when I saw a 2 for £15 offer in Boots I couldn't resist jumping on the bandwagon. I was only really after the Effaclar Duo as I've heard this does wonders for your skin but picked up the Effaclar Mat as well for an extra £2. I've got into a really good skin care routine lately but the Effaclar Duo is more of a spot treatment which I'll use during any hormonal breakouts or just general bad skin days!
This freezing cold weather has turned my lips really dry and cracked, so much that not even my Pink Champagne Vaseline can salvage them! So I picked up these Lush lip scrubs today as they were buy one get one free. I'm not a huge fan of bubblegum flavour products so think I'll be sticking more to the mint scrub. I also picked up the Essie 'Beyond Cozy' nail polish which is brimming with antique silver glitter particles that are very fine so hopefully won't look too heavy on the nail. I'm all about the glitter nail polishes all year round but particularly love gold and silver shades at this time of year.
Lastly, I've been using Clarins products for years and one of my favourites has to be the Beauty Flash Balm which I repurchased today. I find this balm really helps to brighten my skin and firm in certain areas, I usually apply this at night so it makes my skin look more radiant in the morning. I was also given this mini freebie of the Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch which I already use as a primer underneath my foundation and it's the best I have used yet! It really helps to create a perfectly smooth base so that when foundation is applied you get a nice even finish.
I'm back in London on Sunday so I will definitely be getting back with my outfit posts for the rest of next week. I would have been up for doing one today but I left my tripod back in London and nobody was around to take any photographs for me so I couldn't do them anyway. I'm having a well-rested weekend and avoiding this horrible weather, might try out some of these products and post a product review or two so keep an eye out!
